A study of surface structures of Prisiii faces (110) of aiiimoniurii tartrate single crystals grown 1)y gel technique is described and illustrated. Vertical striations closly and widely spaced are observed. Isolated as well as densely populated rectangular elongated hillocks are reported and inechanisni of the growth of these faces is assessed in the light of observed surface structure.
