โœฆ Synopsis

Given a set of scattered data, a method is presented that yield a bivariate function that approximates the given data. We use B-spiine finite elements. A method of calculation of inner products of B-splines and its derivatives is presented. In the case of cubic splines and equally spaced knots, the explicit vahies for the inner products are given.
