Synopsis
The rate of decey of multiple stretches on 8 Au-64.4 at.% Ag alloy indicates that surface diffusion kinetics dominete. The analysis of the temperature dependence of the surfece diffiivity D, indicates that it has 8n rtctivetion enthalpy of 60 keel/mole end 8 D, of 2 x IO0 cma/sec. A drop in D, at 920ยฐC is associated with the onset of feceting. The results are shown to be consistent with 8n elementary model of mass transport on 8110y surfaces. AUTO-DIFFUSION EN SURFACE DE L'ALLIAGE Au-54,4% AT. OBERFLACHENSELBSTDIFFUSION VON GOLD-54,4 At% SILBER Die Zerfallsrate verschiedenartiger Kratzer 8uf Au-64,4 At% Ag-Legierungen deutet dareuf hin, WI die Oberfkichendiffusion dominiert.

The temperature dependence of diffusion of trace amounts of gold in liquid silver measured in the temperature range 980-1260ยฐC can also be expressed as D = (8.8 f 1.2) x lo-dexp 8,980 + 600 -RT Compared with the reported diffusivities of Ag, In, Sn and Sb in liquid silverce), it is observed that the
The self-diffusion rate of gold in gold-nickel alloys was measured as a function of composition and temperature in the region of complete solid solubility, using an autoradiographic method to trace the diffusion of Au'Qs. The diffusion data reveal no anomalies that correlate with the miscibility ga
The adsorption behavior of 1,4-benzenedithiol (1,4-BDT) on colloidal gold and silver surfaces has been investigated by means of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). 1,4-BDT chemisorbed dissociatively on both gold and silver surfaces but as mono-and dithiolate, respectively. Regardless of the bu
