✦ Synopsis
On pulsing over MgO containing various amounts of praseodym-CH 4 ium oxide at 1023 K, the conversion decreased with increasing pulse (PrO x ) C H 4 number, and both the initial activity and selectivity to products C 2 (corresponding to the Ðrst pulse) decreased with increasing content. Char-PrO x acterization by XRD, SEM-EDX and XPS showed calcined materials to contain well-dispersed (x \ 1É83È2) at low Pr concentrations, but only crystalline PrO x at high (10 wt%) Pr concentration. A phase was present at all PrO 1Õ83 PrO 1Õ83 Pr concentrations after the He treatment at 1023 K, and and PrO 1Õ83 , PrO 1Õ75 after reaction. PrO 1Õ5
