## Abstract After rederiving the tight‐binding electron–phonon Hamiltonian for a diatomic chain with special emphasis on the dispersion of the coupling constant the linear electron–phonon interaction is transformed into an effective Electron–Electron one following Chatterjee and Mitra (CM). The sub

Abstract
The scattering of conduction electrons by surface waves is studied theoretically basing on energy considerations. The relaxation time for this scattering mechanism and the quantity \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ (\overline {\partial \varepsilon /\partial t})_s $\end{document} characterizing the mean energy which is transferred by the conduction electrons to the surface lattice per unit time are calculated.

## Abstract In the present work two temperature dependent microwave absorption lines (I and II) in tellurium are investigated for the case (1 ≧ __h__ ω/__k__~B~__T__ ≧ 0.4). The semiclassical formalism for piezoelectric electron‐phonon cyclotronresonance [1] describes the temperature behaviour of t
