Abstract

The scattering of conduction electrons by surface waves is studied theoretically basing on energy considerations. The relaxation time for this scattering mechanism and the quantity \documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ (\overline {\partial \varepsilon /\partial t})_s $\end{document} characterizing the mean energy which is transferred by the conduction electrons to the surface lattice per unit time are calculated.

## Abstract In the present work two temperature dependent microwave absorption lines (I and II) in tellurium are investigated for the case (1 ≧ __h__ ω/__k__~B~__T__ ≧ 0.4). The semiclassical formalism for piezoelectric electron‐phonon cyclotronresonance [1] describes the temperature behaviour of t
