โœฆ Synopsis

Protein solutions exposed to porous glass membranes are rapidly depleted of protein. The proteins do not migrate through the membrane, but become trapped at the channel walls. Surface deactivation of porous glass can be accomplished by treatment with methyl trimethoxysilane or y-aminopropyl triethoxysilane. Bacitracin slowly transferred through a surface deactivated porous glass membrane.

We recently discovered that monodispersed nanobubbles/microbubbles could be generated from Shirasu-porous-glass (SPG) membranes with uniform pores in a system composed of dispersed gaseous and continuous water phases containing a surfactant. In the present study, size control of the nanobubbles gene

## Abstract The effect of hydrophobic modification and regeneration of Shirasu porous glass (SPG) membranes was systematically investigated on the monodispersity of emulsions. The results showed that the hydrophobic modification and regeneration of SPG membranes had little influence on the monodisp
