β¦ Synopsis
The method of feedback impulsive suppression of chaos is introduced. Our approach is based on the similarity of return maps of some time continuous systems with one-dimensional cubic maps. The method is illustrated for the Dumng oscillator with positive linear stiffness by making use of its symmetry properties.
