Abstract
If the pressure, voltage, and other discharge parameters of a multiple‐electrode‐pair laser are held constant, there is a nonlinear pulse energy enhancement effect when several sets of electrode pairs are triggered synchronously. The mechanism of the effect is analyzed and a reasonable theoretical model, which is in agreement with the experimental results, is built. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
