✦ Synopsis
The cross sections of charged-and neutral-current neutrino-induced reactions on the iron isotopes 52-60 Fe are evaluated with various supernova neutrino spectra. The Gamow-Teller-like contributions to the cross sections are calculated using the large-scale shell-model calculations, and the resulting strength distributions corresponding to the operator σ t 0 are presented. The transitions for other multipoles are based on the random phase approximation. Partial cross sections for decay into neutron, proton and gamma channels are obtained by folding the neutrino excitation spectra with branching probabilities derived from a statistical model.
