✦ Synopsis

La. A CuO 4 o with A=Nd and Bi was prepared under oxygen pressure between 0.2bar-60kbar. They showed large , x x ~o , ss s 60 h o butonl superconductmg volume fractions of 10% after being treated under high ox3gen p~c ure., k ar f r A=Nd y 0.5kbar for A=Bi. These fractions are roughly ten times as large as that of La.CuO.÷. treated at 60kbar. The known phase separation into nearly stoichiometric La,CuO. and superconducting La.CuO. =. see~n°s to be suppressed by the randomization of the catton stte m the rock salt layers.

We have measured electrical resistivity and AC susceptibility of Bi2Sr2CaCu208+6 with 0.20~ 6 ~0.34, annealed under hlgh oxygen pressure. With Increasing 6, the superconducting transition temperature T c decreases for 0.20N6N0.27 and ls almost constant, ~45K, for 0.27~6 ~0.34. The 6 dependence of T
