✦ Synopsis

We discovered a series of new superconductors, M 7 Re 13 X ðM ¼ W; Mo; X ¼ B; CÞ, and discussed their superconducting properties. M 7 Re 13 X ðM ¼ W; Mo; X ¼ B; CÞ has a b-Mn-type (Cubic, P 4 132) structure. The T c values are 7.1 K for W 7 Re 13 B, 7.3 K for W 7 Re 13 C, 8.3 K for Mo 7 Re 13 B and 8.1 K for Mo 7 Re 13 C. The magnetization vs. magnetic field curve showed type-II superconducting behavior. These superconductors can be described as strong coupling regime and Re orbital is mainly responsible for the superconductivity of these compounds.
