✦ Synopsis

Superconductivity and structure of Lal.s75-xNdxBao.12sCuO4 (0_<x~_0.08) have been studied by ac susceptibility and X-ray diffraction over a temperature range down to 10 K. Superconductivity does not recover by Nd doping up to x=0.08. X-ray diffraction revealed that transition temperature to the lowtemperature tetragonal phase is almost the same as that of the undoped sample. Trans!tion temperature from high-temperature tetragonal to medium-temperature orthorhombic phases increases by about 50 K at x=0.08.
