A new ceramic material, DyBa2SnOs.5, has been synthesised and sintered as single-phase material for its use as a substrate for both YBCO and BiSCCO superconductors, for the first time. DyBa2SnOs.5 has a complex cubic perovskite (A2BB'O6) structure with the lattice constant a=8.520 A. The dielectric
