β¦ Synopsis
We report tunneling measurements of the superconducting energy gaps in YBa.Cu307 and Bi2Sr.CaCthO 8 using b~eak junctions. The differential conductance d/fdV at T = 4.2 K shows no leakage around zero ba~s, while the t,,q~ -dge peaks m d//dV are somewhat broadened compared to the simple BCS density of states. Th~s strong.Iv ,eggests an s-wave superconductivity with an anisotropic gap. From the best data, we obtain a result that &c gap anisotropy in Bi~Sr2CaCu208 is larger than that m YBazCu~O 7.

Systemauc conductivity lluctuatmn measurements are reported for polycryatalhne YBa2Cu3OT\_ 8 and singlecrystal Bi2Sr2CaCu208. Gaussian and criucal regimes are observed For both systems, the crmcal exponents are consistent with s-wave pairmg.
