Mandate: Concern for the description of the ocean environment, especially wave, current, wind and temperature statistics, in deep and shallow waters, as a basis for the determination of environmental forces for structural design including some consideration on marine growth. Consideration also to be given to statistical descriptions of ice and earthquake phenomena relevant to design of ships and offshore structures.

Mandate: Concern for a specific application of reliability based design of an offshore component. This should, whenever possible, make use of knowledge distilled from ISSC proceedings as regards loading and strength modelling and safety and other criteria. The process should be illustrated in step-b
Mandate: Concern with the review of current ideas on integrated and computerized design for construction and with the presentation of new concepts for future development to reach optimal targets for minimal cost. This should include the definition of realistic cost functions for construction and thr
