This involves a comprehensive selection of p u m p s from the company, both big and small. At one end of the scale is Washington, DC's Dalecaria Pump Station in the US, where giant Ingersoll-Dresser pumps, driven by 1,750 hp motors, each are capable of moving 4,260 cubic metres (18,750 gallons of water p e r minute) at 91 m (300 feet). In the UK, the c o m p a n y supplied smaller, s t a t e -o f -t h e -a r t LNN water p u m p s for use in the Lobwood p u m p i n g station, w h i c h was b u i l t as p a r t of Yorkshire Water Plc's drought p r e v e n t i o n m e a s u r e s in t h e N o r t h Y o r k s h i r e a r e a w h i c h i n c l u d e s the cities of Leeds, Bradford and Halifax. As evidence of the durability of equipm e n t f r o m I n g e r s o l l -D r e s s e r Pumps, the sewage p u m p s at the LeMay P u m p Station in St. Louis, USA serve as a good e x a m p l e as t h e y have b e e n p r o v i d i n g c o n s i s t e n t p e r f o rmance for the last 40 years.
