The Pripyat Trough and the Caspian Depression are examples of basins with chloride and sulfate type evaporite formations, respectively. Patterns of sulfur isotope distribution in these basins are essentially different. Sulfur isotopic composition of sulfate minerals in the Caspian Depression becomes
