## Abstract This study describes the preparation and characterization of new ionomer blend membranes containing sulfonated poly(ether imide) (SPEI) and poly(ether sulfone) (PES). Thermogravimetric analysis indicated that the obtained blend membranes were more thermally stable than the parent SPEI.

## Abstract Novel bisphenol Aβbased sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (bi AβSPAES) copolymers were successfully synthesized via direct copolymerization of disodium 3,3β²βdisulfonateβ4,4β²βdichlorodiphenylsulfone, 4,4β²βdichlorodiphenylsulfone, and bisphenol A. The copolymer structure was confirme
Modification of poly(phthalazinone ether sulfone ketone) (PPESK) by sulfonation with concentrated or fuming sulfuric acid as sulfonation agents was carried out to prepare membrane materials with increased hydrophilicity and potentially increased fouling resistance. Sulfonated PPESK (SPPESK) copolyme
