โฆ Synopsis
IMPROVED METHODS OF SYNTHESIS OF P-SULFENYL CHLORIDES
Recent developments have led to improved methods of preparation of some types of sulfenyl chlorides. Thus, the Polish scientists have found [2] that the best approach to phosphorylsulfenyl chlorides (1 R = AlkO) is based, not on O,O,O-trialkyl thiophosphates (the Michalsky reaction), but on 0,O-dialkyl-0-trimethylsilyl thiophosphates because the reactions of the latter with sulhryl chlorides occur under mild conditions (at -20ยฐC) and permit the preparation of pure sulfenvl chlorides without the necessity for additional purification.
