✦ Synopsis
Stent implantation in the setting of failed rescue angiopiasty after failed thromboiytic therapy for acute myocardial infarction Is considered a high-risk procedure, because of the possibliity of stent thrombosis. Withholding anticoagulation in such a patient who also has a bleeding dlathesis may further increase the risk of stent thrombosis. This case demonstrates the feasibility of stent implantation after failure of thromboiytic therapy and rescue angiopiasty for acute myocardial infarction in the setting of massive intra-abdominai hemorrhage.
