โœฆ Synopsis

The authors have investigated bifurcation behaviour in vibrating structures where the discrete branches of the trajectories in the phase plane are so close that it could easily occur that their discrimination would not be achieved. The analysis of such subtle bifurcations required prior expectations of the response behaviour. It is hoped that their presentation will provide new tools in the analysis of defective structures.

The paper studies existence, uniqueness, and stability of large-amplitude periodic cycles arising in Hopf bifurcation at infinity of autonomous control systems with bounded nonlinear feedback. We consider systems with functional nonlinearities of Landesman Lazer type and a class of systems with hyst

This paper deals with a ยฎnite element method to compute the vibrations of a coupled ยฏuidยฑsolid system subject to an external harmonic excitation. The system consists of an acoustic ยฏuid and a plate, with a thin layer of a noise damping viscoelastic material separating both media. The ยฏuid is describ

In this paper, an envelope detection method for the vibration signal with amplitude modulation is proposed. The method is to filter the vibration signal through a designated band-pass filter. According to the resonance of the vibration signal in the passband, the filtered signal would be decomposed
