✦ Synopsis

In the n-type superconductor Lnl.85Ceo.15Cu04 (Ln = Pr,Sm), substitution effects of La for Ln was studied. We could prepare the samples Lnl.ss-xLaxCeo.15Cu04 with a single phase ofT -type structure in the La concentratmn range of 0= < x~ 1.2 for both Pr and 8m systems. The lattice parameters a and c together increase with x for both systems. While it is concluded that the number of the carriers keeps constant from oxygen content and paramagnetic susceptibility measurements, Tc is gradually suppressed by La substitution. These results may indicate that the suppression of Te is not caused by the change of the carrier number or magnetic effect, but by some disorder effect.
