✦ Synopsis
The simulation of sound fields is an essential tool for the scientist and may also be a usefid tool for achieving t'ariable acoustical conditions in auditoria, if handled correctly. This paper presents test results on the subjectively perceived properties of some commercial systems used to simulate or superimpose the acoustics of one environment onto another. A comparison is also made with a passive cariable acoustics system. It is shown that some systems can introdtwe changes within one hall of the same order as between halls.
