This paper provides predictions of the time required for the total evacuation of high-rise office buildings via staircases. It refers to evacuation drills carried out in three high-rise administration buildings in October, 1976, by the Research Institute for Fire Protection at Karlsruhe (Forschungss

โฆ Synopsis
How to deal with the uncertainty in calculating building fire evacuation time is the key issue of building fire design and evaluation, and is the foundation of result credibility of evacuation safety design and evaluation. Based on the study of uncertainty in calculating evacuation time, this paper put forward a safety factor determination method on the basis of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, this method can solve the uncertainty problem effectively.

In this paper, the number of customers, the ratio of personnel's age, the walking speed and other basic datas were obtained by present observation in a typical su
The factors determining the longitudinal relaxation time (Tl) of water protons in protein solutions were investigated by analyzing the effects of thermal denaturation on the Tl of the water protons. We treated the water protons and the protein protons "on a protein surface" as a dipole-dipole couple
