Along with the advances of pulse tube refrigeration, there is a pressing demand for a theoretical model which not only reveals the essentials of the internal physical processes, but also can be used for reliable practical design. In this paper, we consider the thermal and viscous influences of the p

โฆ Synopsis
Important advances have been achieved during the last 10 years or so in the art of pulse tube refrigeration. In order to meet the requirements for further development and practical applications, a systematic theoretical and experimental study on pulse tube refrigeration has been conducted. The thermodynamic nonsymmetry effect, which is responsible for the production of refrigeration power, is qualitatively described and quantitatively demonstrated for the idealized case in this paper.
