✦ Synopsis

The morphology, phase, pitting corrosion behaviors and galvanic corrosion resistance behavior of the welded joint of 316L stainless steel and Ti(TA2) clad plate were studied by scanning electron microcopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), zero-internal resistance ammeter and potentiodynamic polarization technique. The results show that the welded 316L presents severe deformation and has intermetallic phase; moreover, more -ferrite phase emerges at the welded seam and fusion area near 316L side.

All these factors lead to the decrease of pitting corrosion resistance and galvanic corrosion resistance of the welded 316L.
