✦ Synopsis

The electrochemical character of a new reagent cyclen-o-tetrabenzenotetraamide (CTBTA) with Cu(II) was studied. In C 6 H 4 (C 2 O 4 HK)-NaOH buffer (pH ‫ב‬ 4.00), there are three reduction peaks at oscillo-polarogram to the titled complex. Among them, the current of P2 peak at ‫63.0Χžβ€¬ V was directly proportional to the concentration of Cu(II) in the range of 7.5 β€«ΧŸβ€¬ 10 ‫8Χžβ€¬ -3.5 β€«ΧŸβ€¬ 10 ‫5Χžβ€¬ mol/L with a detection limit low to 3 β€«ΧŸβ€¬ 10 ‫8Χžβ€¬ mol/L. The composition ratio of the complex was formed to be 1:1 using a ratio method and the apparent stability constant to be 1.28 β€«ΧŸβ€¬ 10 6 . The proposed method was highly sensitive and selective and has been directly used to the determination trace amount of copper in rice.

A potentiometric titration method has been used to obtain experimental data for acid-base and Cu compflexation of soil fulvic acids. The uncertainty associated to the data has been studied in order to prove a Gaussian mu/tiligand model, getting insight in the main sources of error. Based on this obs
