✦ Synopsis
The temperature dependence (35 K T 105 K) of direct microwave absorption is studied as a function of incident microwave power up to 30 mW, for highly compacted ceramic samples of YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7± ±d . It is observed that the microwave absorption, under zero dc field, reveals a strong cavity resonance frequency shift as a function of the incident power for temperatures in the superconducting transition region. The absorption presents a linear behavior with the incident microwave power in both normal and superconducting states. From these measurements the temperature dependence of surface resistance is also obtained.
