β¦ Synopsis
Fly ash was used as an additive, and the effect of it on desulfurization by lime at 400Β±8008C was studied experimentally. The conversion rate of Β―y ashΒ±lime to calcium sulfate was found to be greater than that when using lime alone. One reason is that Β―y ash can act as a support medium for lime, thereby increasing its dispersion and extending its effective reaction surface area. Fly ash with a high iron or its oxides is likely to have some ability to absorb particles of lime on its surface.

The purpose of grout injection is to increase the compactness of the masonry and its injection optimization is a task of major importance for masonry consolidation. Fresh grout properties seem to be as important as the ones in the hardened state since grout consistency is an essential characteristic
Modern thermal power plants are producing large amounts of fly ash that is generally quite suitable for use as a supplementary cementitious material in concrete. However, for tilis purpose the fly ash utilization in the United States continues to remain low, mainly on account of lack of quality cont
