Synopsis
Infrared spectral analysis has been applied for the study of cotton-polystyrene copolymers prepared by ming the preirradiation method. The degree of grafting was determined from the absorption at 700 cm-1, which is characteristic of the polystyrene spectrum, with an accuracy of + 1.5%.
