✦ Synopsis

A study is made of nuclear energy states in I°B, nB and I~N by means of inelastic electron scattering at 180 ° . Radiation widths were derived for the excited states and the results are compared with the single-particle model predictions. For the magnetic dipole transitions in X°B and nB a comparison is made of the experimental data with recently calculated M1 transition strengths in p-shell nuclei by Cohen and Kurath.
