Acyl glucuronides formed from carboxylic acids can undergo hydrolysis, acyl migration, and covalent binding to proteins. In buffers at physiological pH, the degradation of acylglucuronide of a chiral NSAID, carprofen, consisted mainly of acyl migration. Acidic pH reduced hydrolysis and acyl migratio
