โœฆ Synopsis

The essential oil of Salvia ocinalis L. in ยฎve selected clones of dierent origins (France, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Czech Republic) was studied. Yields of oils from dried leaves were excellent (2ยฑ3%), and higher than those previously reported. The a : b-thujone ratio varied according to origin. Overall, some of the oils were of high quality in terms of their a-and b-thujone and camphor contents.
