β¦ Synopsis
In the study of an activated carbon with the ESR triple-modulation spectroscopic method, a thermal motion of the radical was observed, while no such motion was detected in the raw carbon. Moreover, the activation process of the carbon increased drastically the linewidth of the ESR absorption, converting its nature from a homogeneous broadening to an inhomogeneous one.
