✦ Synopsis

The investigation of plasma-sprayed coating behaviour at higher temperatures is important both for optimization of the technological parameters of the plasma spraying process and for evaluation of the coating lifetime in conditions usual in industry. In this work the statistical approach is used for acoustic emission data analysis from this point of view and several examples of data analysis recorded during heating of NiAI-AI20 3-and A1203-coated carbon steel samples are presented and compared with data recorded during heating of a non-coated substrate.
