✦ Synopsis

The adsorption of p-cyclodextrin polymer was studied on different silica beads, in water-organic solvent mixtures. A maximum adsorption on Lichrospher 100 A 5 Frn was observed for a polymer solution containing 70% acetone. Different crosslinking agents were used to stabilize the polymer layer on the silica surface to make a convenient support for liquid chromatography. Glutaraldehyde appeared as very efficient for this purpose and enabled chiral supports to be prepared.

R&m&-L'adsorption
