✦ Synopsis

Nanometer magnetic particles were prepared through oxidizing Fe 2ϩ in basic solution. Initially, using resultant nanometer magnetic powder as support, supported nanometer magnetic Ziegler-Natta catalysts were obtained. Through polymerization in situ on the surface of nanometer magnetic particles, a new kind of magnetic polyolefin that is different from both the composite plastics' magnet and the structure plastics' magnet was obtained.

A study of the effect of polymerization temperature on the microtacticity of poly(propy1ene) prepared using various MgClz-supported catalysts has shown that, in almost all cases, an increase in temperature leads not only to higher proportions of isotactic polymer but also to increased stereoregu1ari
