Abstract
Eleven tris(2βmethylβ2βphenylpropyl)tin as well as four methyl bis[(phenyldimethylsilyl)methyl]tin Ξ²βgermatranylpropionates have been synthesized, and their structures were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, multinuclear (^1^H, ^13^C, ^119^Sn) NMR, MΓΆssbauer, and MS spectroscopies. All the spectroscopic studies suggest a tetrahedral geometry for the bulky triorganotin carboxylates. The preliminary bioassays have shown that most of the compounds have good acaricidal activity.
