## Abstract A novel chitosan‐__g__‐poly(acrylic acid)/organo‐rectorite (CTS‐__g__‐PAA/OREC) nanocomposite superabsorbent was synthesized by aqueous polymerization using __N, N′__‐methylenebisacrylamide as a crosslinker and ammonium persulfate as an initiator. Rectorite was organified with four diff
