Abstract
Seven mathematical models for the treatment of monomer reactivity ratios in freeโradical copolymerization are compared from the viewpoint of their relative simplicity, accuracy, and the number of parameters necessary for their use. It is concluded that the electronegativity and chargeโtransfer models proposed in previous papers represent the best compromise for routine usage if quantitative accuracy is the primary concern.
