Abstract

A method of determining small traces of the insecticide in treated crops is described and the validity of the method for assessment of toxic risk to the consumer is discussed. The method is sensitive to 0·1 mg. insecticide per kg. of plant tissue in the absence of interfering substances which may, however, give rise to ‘blanks’ of up to 1 mg./kg.
