## Abstract Sulfonation of low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) films with fuming sulfuric acid was studied by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and attenuated total reflectance (ATR) infrared spectroscopy. The ATR spectra showed the formation of Cο£ΎC double bonds and multiple sulfur atom containing
