✦ Synopsis


A rapid method for the preparation of thin fdms of poly-(styrenesulphonate) on gla88y-MrbOn eh?ctrodes is described. The incorporation of Os(bipy):+/*+ redox sites into such coatings by ionexchange yielded modified electrodes that were sufficiently stable in aqueous media to permit studies of the Os(bipy):+-mediated oxidation8 of ferrocyanide, hexacyanoruthenate(I1) and catechol by means of rotating-disc electrode techniques. The results obtained were analysed in terms of the kinetic models established by Andrieux and SaGant.
