Two model coupling agents, water-dispersible (WDGP) and tetrahydrofuran (THF)-soluble graft copolymers (TSGP), were synthesized for carbon fiber/polycarbonate (PC) composites. WDGP contains a long polyacrylamide (PAAm) chain grafted on a PC backbone, whereas TSGP contains a short grafted PAAm chain.
