Abstract
Nine organosilicon compounds containing OH or NH have been found to add to ketene. Three carbon functional primary alcohols add to give acetates. Four primary amines and one secondary amine form N‐substituted acetamides while butyl‐trimethylsilyalmine yields N‐butyltrimethylsilylacetamide.
