Cufex vishnui is a member of the vishnui group comprising six closely resembling species. The salivary gland chromosomes are longer than those found in Anopheles, more fragile and spread with difficulty. The banding pattern is compared with that of Culexpipienspipiens and Culexpipiensfatigans. Homol
