โฆ Synopsis
In 1959, Eattori and Kcuuamine isolated two new amino acids fran the sap of etiolated eplcotyl tips of Stizolobium hassjoo and named them stizolobic acid and stizolobinic acid (l), respectively. Stizolobic acid is a dlbasic U-amino acid of m.p. 231-233*, e'*" 303 rn~ (log E 3.89), with a molecular formula of CgF$N06, and its structure was presumed to be B-(3-carboxy-y1-pyron-5-yl)alanine (I) (1).
