β¦ Synopsis
The structure of (1 -x) SiSe, -x L&Se glasses is examined by using a thermostatistical model of agglomeration. Singular solutions obtained from a time dependent equation of the model involving the probabilities of local structures are identified with the composition of the corresponding glass. This yields the dependence on x of the glass transition temperature and the existence of the Li,SiSe, phase which are in good agreement with known experimental evidence. The model also gives the first numerical evaluation of the microstructural functions E@')Q(k), which correspond to typical medium-range structures.
