The crystal structure of the title compound, C 3 H 10 N + ΓI Γ , originally determined by Sheldrick & Sheldrick [Acta Cryst. (1970), B26, 1334-1338], has been redetermined at 93 K. Both ions lie on a mirror plane. They form N-HΓ Γ ΓI hydrogenbonded units in the crystal structure.
The vapour-phase Raman spectrum of an alkali halide is reported. Bands attributable to sodium iodide monomers (240 cm-1) and dimers (204 and 224 cm-1) are present at 1084 K. The intensity ratios of the bands reflect the relative abundance of the species in the vapour phase at this temperature. Norma
