## Abstract The behaviour of tetramethyleneglycol towards aldehydes and ketones has been compared with that of ethyleneglycol and trimethyleneglycol. There is a certain disinclination to form the seven‐membered 1,3‐dioxepane ring. In several instances, open‐chain acetals have been obtained; many ke
